It shows the most
With the butterfly and moth
One is for love, beauty
The other is a promise that is empty
One we photograph when we see
The other we hit and kill
But if we turn away form them
Isn’t this society’s plan?
To be beautiful to be treated well
But if everyone’s pretty what’ll happen then?
Will there be another standard?
What if im not loud enough to be heard?
‘I dont wanna do this’ i whisper
But i don’t get to choose in this World
I have to have a nice figure
For my bill to be on the Mister
I always have to smile
But my last real laugh was since a while
This place is hell on Earth
But i’m told not to care because i’m a girl
I have to sit tight and act innocently
And i hear that i do it magnificently
I try to be pretty
But it’s hard and i feel petty
Try to be someone i’m not
And to think i do it for love
In the end i’ll never be the prettiest
But somehow i can’t feel embarrassed
I’d rather be the moth than the butterfly
If it means i can be whoever without a doubt
